Showing a company what games you’d like to see by buying copies of a game that suits your interests is stupid. Obviously doing absolutely nothing is the answer, not actively trying to change their minds by showing them what you want. Inactivity is the answer to everything.
Snow: TBH I agree with this. Because I’m kind of wearing my tin foil hat, and I think that Ubisoft, to some degree, intentionally made this a controversy to bait people to buying the AC 3: Liberation port in some kind of astroturfed campaign. (But I also agree with your point, sometimes money is the only thing that speaks)
Also aren’t you just playing as the main character in AC: Unity no matter what?? I mean if they made customizable male avatars and nixed females, yeah that’d be lazy, but I thought I read that in multiplayer, you’re all the same guy.
I mostly don’t like this because AC: Liberation was a pretty bad game with a terrible plot, and it encourages Ubisoft that to slap a character in with absolutely no other attraction than “look! a minority black female!” is the way to cater to these types of people rather than creating games with a more complex and in depth characters
